Everyday we are being bombarded with harsh chemicals, non-biodegradable synthetics, and harmful toxins. Just read the labels on your favorite foods, personal care products, and household cleaners. It's scary. I can't believe that some of these ingredients are even allowed to be used.
Now think about this. We wonder why cancers, autism, mental illness, and heart-related diseases are so prevalent today in the United States. My family has personally been impacted by many of these and more. I'm sure your family has also experienced your fair share as well. It deeply concerns and troubles me. Here in the U.S., we typically tend to think that if something can be purchased in our local grocery or department store that it must be safe. Slowly and sadly, we are realizing that this just isn't always true.
Four years ago I was introduced to essential oils. I was reluctant and skeptical, and totally clueless about them -- thought they were just a "fad." But, because I am curious by nature, I decided to give them a whirl.
Hesitantly, I purchased the Premium Starter Kit offered by Young Living. I say "hesitantly," because I am also very frugal by nature, a curse or gift that my late, beloved father passed onto me. At first, my pretty box just sat there. But eventually, curiosity won out, and I opened the package. Inside was this thing called a diffuser, some really small bottles of "stuff" that I honestly questioned could be of any value, along with some packets of something called NingXia Red. Did I mention that most of these bottles contained a liquid that I considered downright "stinky!"
So, there I was with what I was considering a wasted investment. But the frugal part of me decided to give it a try. I filled up my diffuser with water along with five drops of Thieves essential oil. I continued to do this daily every morning before I headed out to work. Eventually, it became a habit. I would experiment with other oils like Stress Away, Purification, and Frankincense. I actually was beginning to find the aroma pleasant and calming. And surprisingly, I was staying well throughout one of Michigan's very cold winters.
I also found I was able to get through the day with less negative reactions to challenges -- generally feeling less stress in my everyday life. Being analytical also by nature, I considered what all of my good fortune could be attributed to. The only difference in my life that came to mind, was the daily incorporation of these crazy little bottles of essential oils. But that just didn't make sense to me!
About this time I was given a scan that picks up on biomarkers within the body that are out of alignment. I was skeptical about this as well. But once again, curiosity won out and I tried ingesting an essential oil that was suggested.
This was when the "bells" went off. I had immediate relief. That was the turning point for me. I began researching essential oils and what they were. I learned about the naturally occurring constituents in the oils and how these constituents can benefit and support healthy body systems. At 65 years young, I have found that these little drops of nature have opened up brand new horizons for me. You might be surprised at what they can do for you!

I agree that a lot of what we buy is toxic so the oils sound like a good alternative
