Normally, I like to keep my posts upbeat and positive. Hopefully, today will be just that. However, it may be a struggle. We are coming upon the anniversary of our youngest daughter's passing.
We lost her to cancer twenty-one years ago. She was four years young. She fought the disease courageously -- a true warrior princess. She even managed to comfort us, her family, in her own sweet way during it all. But God needed her in heaven.
Life is short -- and oh, so unpredictable. We have millions of choices to make every second, of every minute, of every hour, of every day. Make choices that make a difference -- be a vessel of love, kindness, gratitude, and compassion. Take care of yourself, your family, your friends, your coworkers. Listen to others -- really listen -- don't assume you know what they are saying. You may be surprised.
Life is full of blessings -- even in times of despair. Sometimes you just have to look really hard for the "gift." But, it's always there. We are coming upon a Holiday season. Some are preparing for Christmas. Others, like our family, are preparing for Hanukkah. And yet others, choose to celebrate life in their own, unique, special ways.
Let's be outpourings of generosity, kindness, and tolerance. Live life to its fullest. Thank you for letting me share a little bit of myself with you today.
L'Chaim!
Sandra Freedman
